Celebration...

...of me!

It was a dark and peaceful night. The boy still could not turn on the XBOX in the living room for fear of rousing the sleeping giants in the next room. He sat in the still, crisp air, wishing for but a moment of warmth to fall across his body- no such moment came. 8 minutes. What would the new day bring for the boy? Hopefully nothing but opportunities for the creation of good and happy memories. 1 minute. It happened but once a year, but was always the best of days- and now, just moments away, the boy drew a breath and held for but a few mere seconds until---
